How to use the self-service laundry

*It is unclear whether other local laundries are still open (as of 2024).
The capacity of each washing machine is up to 10kg.
Washing takes Rm7/30 minutes and drying takes Rm7/30 minutes
(as of 2024), but first you have to exchange your money for something called a TOKEN.
If you only want to use the washing machine, Rm7=7 TOKEN is sufficient.
*We recommend that you read “3. Put clothes in the dryer" before making a decision.
1. Exchange paper money for tokens
At first, you exchange your bills for TOKEN at the TOKEN CHANGER, but this machine is unlikely to give you change, so only put in the amount you need.
You can exchange Rm1 to Rm20 banknotes for TOKEN.
If you need to exchange money or don’t know how to use the laundry, please ask a member of staff who should be in the back, or, as this is a laundry run by this store or hotel, please ask the owner or staff.
2. Wash clothes
Put your clothes in the washing machine and then add the TOKEN.
Place the clothes in the washing machine.
Detergent should be automatically added, but it’s important to check that it’s in the detergent case.
If there is no detergent in the case, please ask a staff member.
After I closed the lid I was confused and thought “Hmm?",
The instructions on top of the washing machine have pictures showing how to select the water volume and course, but I don’t really understand it.
Follow the instructions above the TOKEN slot, “Insert your TOKEN here and press the green button“, and insert 7 TOKEN and press the green button.
The laundry has started.
All that’s left is to kill time somewhere for the next 30 minutes.
3. Put clothes in the dryer
I put the clothes in the dryer and put the TOKEN in the slo, but…
Simply place your clothes in the dryer, insert the TOKEN into the slot on the right side of the machine, and press the green button to begin drying (each TOKEN will extend the drying time by 5 minutes).
Do you have a small amount of clothes and don’t need 30 minutes in the dryer, are worried about your clothes shrinking, or just want to save money?
take your clothes after dehydration back to your hotel and hang them out on the terrace during the day, or borrow some extra hangers and use a place in the room where you can hang them, and then set the air conditioner dehumidification mode to dry.
Thin fabric clothing will dry overnight.
