Cafes that serve relatively decent coffee

Cafes that serve relatively decent coffee on Pangkor Island
Cafes that serve relatively decent coffee

Malaysia has a history of being under British occupation.
So, the tea is okay everywhere, but the coffee☕ served at local restaurants and coffee shops is made by adding hot water to coffee powder and stirring it, just like instant coffee, and this was the same on Pangkor Island.

In the 2020s, coffee brewed in coffee makers began to appear here and there on the island, and finally, a place serving decent coffee has appeared in Teluk Nipah!
However, due to its location, it may close soon, so if you’re interested, please go early.

📍Teluk Nipah 🏃 Access

A drinks and snacks shop located by the pool at Hotel Suria.
Head north(towards Coral Beach) along the coastal road of Teluk Nipah.
Turn right into the alley just before the Anjungan Beach Resort hotel and walk a little further until you see the back gate of the Suria hotel on your right, along with the lights of the shops. Enter the hotel grounds.

When I asked, “Can you make a double espresso?" the staff member replied, “I know the taste, so I’ll try it".
But, there was no espresso machine in the kitchen, and the coffee that arrived after a while was a very strong black coffee (regular size).
However, the coffee that he brewed with passion and effort was delicious. (*January 2024)
