Notice regarding the relocation of restaurants and shops due to construction work on the coastal beautification plan for the Teluk Nipah area:
Please note that due to the above construction work (demolition of buildings along the coast), all shops that were previously located there have been relocated to the southern end of Teluk Nipah (the side where the taxi stand is located).

Road restoration from the port to Teluk Nipah:
Due to the impact of the cyclone last November, all vehicle traffic from the port to Teluk Nipah is now via the northbound route. Motorcycles are permitted.

In 2026, Ramadan (the fasting month) will run from February 17th to March 19th.
However, Lunar New Year falls on February 17th, so the start of Ramadan will coincide with the Lunar New Year.

Tourist attractions and public transportation are expected to be extremely crowded for approximately one week from around February 15th, so if you’re planning a trip to Malaysia, please be sure to check accommodation and transportation information carefully.

In addition, you will be able to enjoy a festive atmosphere in various places even after Hari Raya (the end of Ramadan, from sunset on March 19th), but it is expected to be very crowded for about a week.
