A seafood Chinese restaurant in Pasir Bogak.
The most recommended dish here is definitely the “Ketam lembut“.
This is fried soft crab (a Shanghai crab that has just molted), and the soft texture and sweet crab meat make it irresistible, as you can eat it with the shell on.
Many of the other dishes also use sweet and sour sauces, so even those who don’t like spicy food will be fine.

For those who don’t like the oily fried foods typical of Chinese cuisine, try lampui (seafood porridge).
This dish has just the right amount of saltiness to soothe your tired body after a long day of playing.
Although it’s not pictured, if you’re with a large group, I also recommend the delicious lobster dishes.

Contrary to its appearance, this is a popular local restaurant.
On weekends and during peak seasons, even if you’re lucky enough to get a table, it may take a long time for your food to arrive, so it’s best to go early on weekends and during peak seasons or make a reservation, including for a main course.

Due to coastal landscape development work, all restaurants and shops in this area have been relocated to newly constructed buildings south of the location shown on Google Maps, near the taxi stand.(2026.01)
Teluk Nipah.
A local Malay restaurant along the coast.
Deep fried fish is very popular with customers.
There is no menu, you put as much rice as you want on one plate, then add as much food as you want on your plate, and finally order a drink and pay.
You can either pay and then sit at your table, or if you choose to pay later, a staff member will come to your table later, check your plate, and give you a note with the price written on it.
If they don’t come to check, please declare what you have eaten and what you drink when you pay (if you don’t understand the language, you can just point to each dish on the tray).

There are many other seafood restaurants on Pangkor Island, so if a restaurant has a menu, check the prices on the menu and trust your instincts before going in.
BBQ is expensive (tourist area price)!?
The prices of choosing seafood from the display case in front of the store and having it cooked or ordering a set meal of several dishes are, as expected, high compared to local prices.
At local restaurants, most of the menus are in Malay and can be difficult to understand, but you can get rice dishes, noodles, and other dishes at reasonable prices.

On rare occasions, a waiter may misunderstand and bring you a dish you didn’t order (and which may be expensive), but don’t be intimidated even if the waiter gets angry; just firmly refuse by saying, “I didn’t order that".
